I am enjoying this more than I did the first time but I still think it was rushed 😖

My first reread of the 8th volume...wasn't a huge fan of this book when I first read it (it's one of my favorite series so I was heartbroken) but I wanna give it another chance!

I was bullied a lot in school, so I really relate to Shoya being like...CONFUSED at the fun he's having with his new friends right now lowkey 🤣😅😭❤️‍🩹

Idk why I'm not loving this like I thought...I was hoping for more serious discussions but the story is taken up by that little sister and that stupid guy with that curly hair. I want more Shoya and Shoko! More of Shoya's inner demons and thoughts.

Okay...I couldn't finish the Misery movie. I knowwww it's old. I know. But...the whole thing that makes the book so amazing is Paul's internal monologue (imo). If you take that away it just feels like....eh....nothing special. The script writer put no emotion or complexity into Paul (imo). Kathy Bates was amazing though lol.

🩵QOTD🩵: I've been obsessed with words lately. What's your favorite word, what does it mean, and why do you love it? Atm mine is "reverie" 💭. It means being in an "absent-minded, dreamy meditation, or a state of absorption where a person is detached from their immediate surroundings". It's a pretty word, but it also evokes an eerie feeling in me when I hear it 🧘🏼‍♀️👻.

I'd like to get to page 200 today 🙏🏻. Honestly I am loving this book so freaking much. Do you ever get attached to a book simply because you're reading it during a depressive episode? Because that's what's currently happening. I carry this book around like a security blanket. What's the science behind that 🫠?
