I didn’t start this to /not/ have my thoughts provoked, but oh boy did my stomach do some twisting the last couple of chapters

Reading in fear because I know the baggage behind the book, but it compels me anyway. Like all reincarnations of *that* series, it's hard for my brain to not immediately try to uncloak a character. ALAS, I'm genuinely enjoying (though contextually that feels like the wrong word because so much of it is horrifying) the world building and Helena's internal narrative. Go my survivor girl, go
