Maybe because I'm an unimaginative plebeian with the attention span of Remy from over the hedge, or maybe because I never really read most of my life and my comprehension is way low, but I'm not super engaged with this work. I also have trouble with some of Tolkien's descriptions of a landscape or a characters orientation on a mountain and It's frustrating as I'm not able to craft an image in my mind.

I don't know if it's the way Tolkien writes or my lack of imagination but so many of these scenes you are supposed to imagine are not forming in my head, and it is frustrating.
