I'm only reading this because it came with my children's Kindle years ago and every so often my actual Kindle tries to give me an annoying pop-up ad about it that takes minutes to close. Zack is an asshole btw

Been a while since I actually read this part I don't remember what exactly happened besides them arriving in New York and realizing that furries exist

I guess it's just me but I feel like sending them on this mission might've been the worst decision ever

Spent like 5 minutes in Portal and left

I don't think a book like this should seriously discuss slavery and racism like I just read

Weird that they're all brothers and sisters in this town, huh? And kids too?

Reminder that Portal, Georgia is a real place. Makes you wonder what it's really named after.

Ts starting to feel like a "coolest rural American spots" presentation

Backwater Florida is a scary place. That guy dressed as a "bear" is proof alone.

Really iffy on this stuff where the ymbrynes are like "All peculiars are equal" and they immediately assign everyone to the worst jobs possible.

Interesting mystery uncovered, and being able to access the Panloopticon through a garden shed is a cool idea.

His dad acting like an idiot getting mad that he's just trying to connect

I thought all the children seeing modern day America would fly by fast, but it seems to be just inching along.

Now that Jacob has reached his full potential, destroying the wights should be no problem!

Caul really tried to get them with the "fake messaging bird bomb" trick

Really didn't think they'd do it

Plan ain't happening

Insane dad lore vibes

Cool that Addison made it in, but how will Jacob, Emma, and Sharon manage to keep the story interesting until either they get in or Addison gets out?

Peculiar slavery is kinda crazy.

Actually read this a few days ago and forgot to log it. It seems like Jacob's powers have lost usefulness as of now, but I'm sure they'll go crazy hard down the line.

Can't wait to see where his new powers take us going into the wight nest

Wowzers

Interesting plan, can't wait to read it in action.

Interesting new locations and characters, but I have some feeling it's all liable to go wrong.

Weird loop, I wonder who they'll find at the intersection, how they'll help and if they'll join or not, etc.

Really thought Sam and Esme would join the group; Sam has an interesting and unique peculiarity.

More new members of the group is exciting

Sum bs cliffhanger if you ask me

Barely anything. Just a recap, describing all the children.
