Hastings' worship of Mary Cavendish is making me want to punch him.

I understand this is a book many people read in school. I never did, and didn't even know what the book was about. I'm finding it very powerful and uncomfortable.

I'm really enjoying this book so far. There's fun in identifying the source story, but the retold tale is also very unique and unexpected. The retelling of Hansel and Gretel was a gut wrenching read, but a very interesting tone and picture.

I JUST CAN'T WITH THIS BOOK. 😭😭

Winston is currently in possession of "the book". I've been enjoying the story up to this point, but I really feel like I'm having to plow through this. There are good ideas in "the book" and I appreciate the parallels to be drawn to modern society. But after pages upon pages upon pages of political rhetoric, history, and theory, I'm a little bored.
