Fun wild West, witchery story with lovable characters, some gruesome but satisfying ends to both the innocent, as well as the dastardly. At points the read is slow in progression but a sequel with the further adventures of Rose, Rabbit, and....NO SPOILING!!!! If you can lay into this little gem, and dedicate the time needed, you're in for a treat. Enjoy...oh ok, watch out for little black toads😊

Mr. Olsen is an excellent writer with exceptional descriptive ability of setting , as well as understanding victims' families. An engaging book from the get-go. For the grizzly nature of the story, Mr. Olsen, I feel is making this a fast read.

Wonderful story of a boy's life in the small town Alabama. Quaint, charming, with scrapes and scars that mark a child's soul, either from the Saturday matinee double feature, a haunted father, or one who can't handle his liquor. Life we all remember, and hope maybe one day, will fade away.

Engaging, heartbreaking, compelling, shocking, engrossing. A story of tragedy, the unknown and REAL horrors of PTSD, addiction, and how the common actions of our world can raise and elevate us, and also send us meteorically crashing in the devastation of our flaws.
