To escape the horrors of that firestorm in Dresden it may be that an embodiment of a Tralmafigorian was the result. The writer was there after all and did not report as a press officer. That he recovered and was able to write more interesting, humorous and insightful reading. This was my third reading and not my last.

I am enjoying the writing, it’s funnier in spots than I (as a high schooler) remember. The writing paints a picture of the setting, characters and the difficulties of living in that time for the poorer members of society.

Not as clever or as funny as other books by Mr Bryson. It was a bit more caustic in the portrayal of certain areas of the US and more generous to areas that I’ve visited that could have used more criticism.

An awkward but caring teenager gets involved as a family of a chronically sick child. She acts as playmate and partial caretaker of a much younger child.

I’m loving this book. It is amazing just how much detail has gone into the journey of a famous baseball. Mr DeLillo has a writing style that varies with the characters involved. It’s an interesting and fun read!

I like her previous book a lot but this one I couldn't finish. Characters were stagnated and the plot line didn't move forward. I wasn't curious enough to read further.
