Thus far a glorified Wattpad read, which is underselling or over selling depending on what youre looking for.

Pro the magic system is phenominal. Its fresh and really shines, using tarot that you need to ink yourself, a magic school for inking, reading etc is great.

Cons everytime they mention halazar and how terrible it is "worse than hell" meanwhile its just... damp and chilly is killing me.

Holy

Okay now were getting some where, unless the author goes entirely off track i stand by my initial.thoughs of im going to be obsessed with this book. 14 year old Mackenzie would be FROTHING at the mouth for this 4.5/5

Buckle up, I've barely scratched the surface and I have a sneaking suspicion this book is about to become my personality.

Pacing is still perfectly in step with the first few books, im super relieved but i have a feeling this last little leg is what will make or break this series 🤞🏼

This last book in the quartet has lots of disappointed people in the reviews, but has thus far been holding its own ground for me, pacing and character wise, while the steampunk environment took a while to settle (I had whiplash from my fantasy / romance norm) it is now a delightful change of pace and im looking forward to seeing how everything gets wrapped up.
Also MY BABY someone needs to save Victoria TOUT SUITE!

This main character is so annoying 😭

Im cry laughing Jackaby is so funny, bless him
