Kal fights with the lift fabrial, ends up in the well and gets stabbed again. Breaks the node, then they put a lid over the top and of course Syl had flown out for some reason. Kal swims down and gets outside into the storm. Dal rides the storm, tells the Stormfather he's not just a storm so protect people. And turn around. He sees Kal, asks WTF. Finds out about the tower, saves Kal when he falls.

Dal talks with Tara. Tar explains. Venli practices stone shaping and some more spren like Timbre turn up. In the past the Singers gets warform. Nav and the tower talk, she thinks maybe Odium is one of the true tones now. They need to make a singer bondsmith. Tower tells her where the 2nd node is, a well. Then they find it right off. Get Kal she says.

Wit had a cremlin spy as a pen, so the Sleepless know Jas and his secrets it seems. He's going to tell her about the leader of the Ghostbloods, Thaidakar. Wit has met him on other planets. Nav blabs more with Rab who reveals the idiot Fused is her daughter. Keep your mouth shut or lie, Nav!

Nav chats with Rob, gets the lift glove for Kal. 8 years ago Eshon notices Venli is off but side tracked be healing their mother. Kal gets the glove and practices. Jas goes to battle, uses powers to win. Like it matters.

Venli is changed, Eshonai notices, but Veni plays it off.

Kal uses Syl to distract some guards (after having another depression attack. This is old already, it's NOT fun to read about and just creates problems) and gets a case of working spanreeds. Then the tower tells him they found a node, help. Ho goes, fights Pursuer. Syl helps him out by lying, he breaks the globe and leaves Rob alive, idiot.

Venli takes the gem into a storm, Stormfather warns her. She breaks it. Out comes Voidspren,

Kal does not make it, but spots spotters. With spanreeds that work. Goes to steal one. Venli finds the tower model. Her people take care the not dead Radiants, she says wake one up if you can. Then the Deep Ones summon her to find nodes. They figure one should be ouside. Then she's told about another listener. in the past, Eshon talks with Dal. He says be wary of humans.

Lucky for Lirin Vinli has Les save them. Which she does because they all aren't being purged for more of those reasons we'll get to eventually. Renarin tells Dal about the future and how Renarin blocks Odium. Him and Glys, his voidspren, want more bonds like them. Ren has someone in mind. Kal and Syl talk about depression, riveting. Then Dab turns up. Kal goes to climb down to Oathgates.

One of the Highprinces whines about reading, women, etc, so Jas kills him. Raner heals him, Dal exiles him. Dal thinks to trick Odium. Why not. Venli wants to l learn to be Radiant and get away. 8 /12 years ago Venli mother starts to go senile. Human women with a lot of rings gives Venli a gem with a spren inside, says break it in a storm. Venli finds out Pur is going after Kal's family.

Nav is set up to work, talks to Sibling. Sibling hide from Midnight Mother, so all think it is dead. Tower can see Kal. They want to work out how the Oathgates are working. The Fuse know the Sibling is alive, so this is not going to go well them thinking otherwise. How can the Tower be so stupid?
Dal wants to learn about his powers. Knows something is wrong with the Tower, does not go. Idiots.

Rab has Nav and team do work because...reasons, again. Kal has a nightmare. Needs supplies. Dal and the Mink are ate a battle, Nale the skybreaker turns up, says Dal should not be a Bondsmith. Attacks, Szeth does not draw his sword, gets beaten. Stormfather says touch Nale. Dal sees his past. Nale flees. Dal needs to learn. 9 years ago Eshon is thrilled with humans, they want to see Singer cities.

Lift doesn't want to grow up and encounters Mraize who hunts her. Stupid girl. Tav get summoned by Odium. Tav works out he's a man with power, and scared of Szeth's sword. Gives the order to betray the coalition. Gets arrested. Kal, with Teft, is lead to a safe room by the tower. Venli wants to find forms of power 9 tears ago. Eshon, her sister, finds humans.

Kal and his father argue about fighting. Then they come to take Teft. Fuck that, Kal fights. Lirin throws a hissy fit. Kal leaves after Lirin equates defending from an enemy soldier with murder. Probably so he doesn't put Lirin out of his misery. Moash is emo too, hard labor to keep his mind off it. Odium summons him, tells him to go make the Oathgates work and how to make Kal more emo. Greeeat.

They need to destroy that node, though, as it connects to the heart. Good design. Time to surrender now. Because they somehow know they won't be killed. Or I guess no choice, but hide? Why are they alive! Rab goes to corrupt more, but there's stormlight in it. Not enough to power it, it needs something else. But Voidlight can do it cuz reasons, of course. She says Sibling is asleep. Rab wants Nav to work with her.

Kal gives him lip, doesn't get killed for it. Nav is lead to a gem to infuse in a wall, learns tuning forks/sound helps. Kal putters. Rlain informs him he can't hide from the invaders. Lucky there're still alive. Syl gets emo too. Just what we need. Nav asks about why spren like certain gems. WTF. UNDER ATTACK, LADY!
The humans almost make it, but fail to get to the heart room. DOOM. Of course Nav puts a shield up.

Called it! Rab wants restraint, don't kill the anyone, collect not kill the Radiants. I am sure there's some stupid master plan that will fail to turn them, but it's so easy to just kill them and take forever to work on your master plan. Pursuer still wants Kal. Nav decides to have the men make a run for the heart room, she goes to the other thing.

Kal is delivering blankets. Why is he alive? A soldier asks him.

No Shardblade, of course. Lirin says they aren't here to kill, uh...why the hell does he think that? Nevermind the fact they already did a bunch, they kill everyone they win, that's their goal!

Tower falls. So now they'll not purge it for mysterious reasons. Nav talks to the tower who does not like Humans. Look at the Fused, idiot tower. Tells her about something that can help. Need Stormlight.

Nav is getting asnwers for Dab, then the Tower tells her they are under attack. So screwed.

Kal works out binding works, gravity does not. Fuuucked, everyone else is out. Syl makes it back, but even fabrials don't work. They should be all be dead.
Nav asks Dab how to talk to the spren. Garnet veins.

Kal has an episode. So fun to read about, sigh. This entire arc is going to less than a joy, isn't it.

Adol pledges to himself to get the honor spren to listen. 1 of Nav's scholars makes an lift glove. Then they capture the guy leaving the ruby fot the tower spren - mute guy. Then she gets note about an explosion.
The Fused can go through stone now, since the protections are gone. They know the Sibling is alive since the Masked One's can't cloak. They attack.
Navi goes to check out the explosion.

Shal realizes they are after N-honorspren. Adol gets there alone, vs 14 that are stabbing Notum. He does OK, but gets cut in the back and surrounded, but then Maya joins in. They drive the shady humans off. Not can't fathom it, I hope someone mentions Odium at least. No spren, not Radiants. Not is perplexed by Maya not being a total zombie. There are new zombies too.

Kal is working with the PTSD men. Adol still has no good plan for the honorspren. N-honorspren splits off. Shal figures the spy is NOT Berly. It's so her. Maybe. Adol tells Shal he doesn't care what she did, let's go for a walk. A starspren, like a big dragon with insect wings and a beard shows up. The shady humans stop following. Adol takes off after them when he realizes why. He takes off, everyone follow.

The shady humans follow Adol and Shall and N-honorspren. Adol comes up with things to try. Bribes, begging. All are shot down. Adol noticed Shal has been off. Veil tells him Shal is scared of her past and everyone will leave. She always had Pattern.

Venli talks with the mad Fused, who says there only only 9 surges, humans say 10 and that the Fused are just better. Venli isn't so sure. Asks why they serve Odium, others say be careful around Fused. Within the week they'll get to the tower.

Notum says the honorspred won't listen. Adol says they did nothing, but Spren are dumb and long lived. Notum got exiled for letting Syl go. Assholes. Adol will make them listen! They are being dishonorable?

She calls Mraize. Adol finds another deadeye with Maya's help. Then some humans. Shal thinks she's used the box before. In her fathers garden. She was a child speaking oaths, blading, killing her mother. Lurch, Mraize says Beryl is the spy.

The humans tell Adol to go away, look mean and shadowy. Then he sees Notum, honorspren they sailed with last time.

They find a model of the tower in a sealed off room. Then the 'stop making fabrials' person calls back. They set up to track it, it knows they moved, they work out it's a spren. Navani kicks the pen over the side and wants the ruby cracked.

Shal and Adol get to land. Shal checks the city out. Adol and Maya do sword practice. Shal wants to stay to contact Mraize. She thinks it's been moved again.

Shal has panic attack over Cryptic's watching her. Thinks she didn't move the communication box (she so did, right...). Wants to find the spy (there is none, right...). Pattern is famous for going into other spren cities and studying humans. Shal hunts the spy, uncovers 1 funding criminals on accident. Hatches a plot to give misinformation, see who blabs. Nav and Dal talk abut Tara betraying them.
