Don’t bother with this book if you care about disabled people. The author writes her disabled characters as if she got all her research straight from Autism Speaks. They are constantly called childish, childlike, a “child trapped in an adult’s body”. They are treated like animals, stupid and pitiful and dangerous. It’s disability torture porn.
