Steinbeck seems to be “the details” guy, everything is so in depth and described in painstaking detail. I’m not sure how much I like it but I’m getting used to it. So far the book is good and I’m enjoying the characters and see what people say about Steinbeck and the human condition. Guess we’ll see how this goes

I love this book so far. There’s something 11/22/63 about it, the comforting setting etc. I imagine it’s all going to go very wrong but it feels good so far and all of the rock references and tie ins are fully up my street, probably a big part of why I enjoy it so much

Hoping reverend Jacob’s isn’t a nonce, we will see. Good so far though, interested as to where it’s going to go. I’m sure electricity and specifically lightning will play a big part

God this is fucking with my sense of reality. Great so far and I’m blasting through it so it must be good. Really easy to ready. I NEED to know what’s going on. I hope to hell that I get answers in this book and don’t have to wait until the end of the series

Getting interesting. I like the approach of Carmilla seemingly taking Laura’s lifeforce but I wonder if it’s a conscious, deliberate thing? Overall this is great gothic horror, the vibe and the setting is great and Laura describing her dreams is properly scary

Interesting to see how this will play out. A little confusing, hoping for the resolution to clear things up. Interesting overall so far
