Never have I read a book that reminds so accurately how hard and unloving toward ourself it was to exist as a teenager, without even talking about the queer side of this story.
And then the worst comes: conditional love of the one who should truly accept you. It turns a people-pleaser into a coward and a manipulator in no time to survive, to adapt.
A must-read romance that will turn you upside down!

Fanatasy is evolving again, into something strangely beautiful and moving.

This novel perfectly illustrates how a well-worn and overused theme can be revitalized through skillful writing.

The sentences, like delicate lace, unfold poetically across the pages, transforming the dark atmosphere into a controlled and aesthetically pleasing horror. The author exploits the genre's inherent gore with an almost chaste economy of words, keeping the story's rhythm and strangeness front and center.
