Annoying. Not going to finish it. I get the pronoun preference. However, characters that don’t know the main character nor pronoun preference wouldn’t refer to them as they them in public. They would be politely corrected about preference by the main. The main is “knocked out” so how would the main know how they were addressed? I appreciate pronoun usage but this is just beyond unrealistic in this instance.
