on second reread, i feel like my biggest issue is that caden is said to be this devil and does disturbing things but the actual danger, lore and motives are a little unclear or kind of simplified in a way that makes him give cartoonishly evil. and it’s like the enemies aspect simply comes from them being from two opposing gangs because the only one out of the two that actually hates the other atp is billie. ugh.

this story is giving actual dark romance archetype like to the point where it’s kind of not giving…
