It’s been a while since I last updated my thoughts on this book, so much is happening that I can’t process! It really feels like I’m living with these families and listening to their troubles.
The chapters about the flood were so intense I couldn’t stop reading (which was terrible since I was at the airport lol!) but I’m enjoying this so so much.

Such beautiful descriptions, I can see the scenery as clear as day in my own mind

I’m not convinced of their refusal, they shouldn’t keep saying no for such silly reasons but okayyyy

I wonder what Segoshi said to Yukiko?
I really think she deserves the best but I don’t think he’s the one :-(( I hope she doesn’t get pressured by anyone to accept him

My favourite chapters so far have been “the taste of stone” and “spaces of scent”!!!

Extremely eye opening and validating in its contents

I really enjoy finding links between what I study and what I read in books, they’re very similar and I love my course so much

I am so immersed in this universe and in these characters already

I’m so excited to see how architects involve all five senses and challenge the hierarchy of them!!!!!!
