I read the book before watching the movie (a rarity, I know).
I enjoyed this origin story of Han Solo. It also gives nods to story arcs established in the Legends novels (before Disney took over). That I appreciated.

Lafferty does an excellent job of pulling the reader into the action, but I found an overabundance of adverbs (disguising weak writing) in places a put-off. Some repetition of words was also jarring.

Great book. Enjoyed it and hope this won't be Zahn's last foray into the Star Wars universe.

A little more than 50% through. Can honestly say that I've never been as surprised at some of these plot twists. This is really, really good.
