These short little stories are very cute. I enjoy books like this.

1030 pages…wish me luck!

Necromancy. Vivimancy. Animacy. Mithridatism. This book is wild so far.

I heard so much about this book. Excited to start reading it!

Already heard so much about thei book. Can’t wait to start it tonight!

Finished the StoneWater Kingdom Series by Rachel Gillig

He didn’t think to wipe the blood from his mouth before returning to the king’s side?

SPOILER (Stonewater Kingdom Series): If you plan to read the series, don’t continue reading this status update.

When I was reading the book for awhile, I have to say, for a while I thought the Knight referred to Rory and that the Moth was Sybil. I was suspecting that maybe the absess being the moth was all a lie and they all found out it was Sybil the whole time that’s why she was so “special.”

“When you do the right thing for the wrong reason, no one praises you. When you do the wrong thing for the right reason, everyone does, even though what is right and what is wrong depends entirely on the story you’re living in. And no one says they need recognition or praise or love, but we all hunger for it. We all want to be special.”

Cute. Oddly enough I find myself siding with the gargoyle

She finally said it out loud

So HE is the owner of that antique shop from chapter 2 about Ryo! I enjoy how all these mini stories, every chapter, have connections with the stories before them

“The Earth goes around.
We gaze at the moon, illuminated by the sun.
Feet on the ground and facing the sky, we go forward, changing as we do.
In order to deliver a larger truth to the person looking down at an open page”

“In the world of astrology the moon signifies mothers, wives, incidents from childhood, emotions, the flesh, changes, and so on.”

“One day is going to become tomorrow.”

I relate to your story in some ways, Tomoka

“There she went. A foolish girl, a single human creature in first pride of its unique existence. Ignorant, as we are all of us, in youth, in health, untried, taking possession of the world, ignorant of its workings and that of our own natures; ignorant, arrogant, generous, self-enclosed, yet visited, however briefly, by a flash of intellectual passion.”
