Very creepy....

Amazon's October sale's coming up within days & I've reduced the price for my Diamond On Your Radar box set to $0.99 & to the lowest prices in all the countries I can put prices on. DOYR is very hard-boiled adult sci-fi set in space--it's all 3 Pia novels in 1 book and is the beginning of my Diamond Universe series. It might take a bit for the new prices to post; I have no control over that.

I've been doing a lot of visual art stuff.

There is and has been too much sexualization of women in comics, just like the larger society. That some people continue to deny that is absurd to me.

What the fuck--why am I seeing someone else's book update in my feed!! Is this some new forced advertising here??

Good stuff in this issue so far--I loved the "bargain" part. THAT'S the Wonder Woman I want to see.

This started out kind of dark and brutal, but then not that long after....

Can't remember if I posted about this before, but weeks ago I read and loved the DC Go! Holiday Special 2025 #48, but there's no listing for it here. It was very personally moving for me....

I had to abandon the 1st story--too much name dropping of all kinds of things & too many characters, including alternates, made it too confusing, hard & boring to read. The parts with T'Pol were the best & I never liked her on the show because she was objectified. But the next story on loc. 179 is w/Voyager characters who seem to be the same as the series--it's a what-if that starts in the great Scopion episodes.

The pace of this one's slower and more thoughtful than the last one, but I don't mean to say that this one's bad--just that it's different.

Probably the main reason I’ve always loved Star Wars is because it’s such an expansive universe with so much lore, so much history. I first wrote Star Rose partly because I wanted to create a fictional universe that would give me the same feelings about its past that Star Wars had always given me. So I put bits of lore and history across my Rose universe too, but about loves, not wars.

This is a personal update: I probably won’t be here much or at all over the next few weeks. I added a book here, Paper Collage--I’ve started working with it & it’s helped me get back into collaging, has given me some ideas I want to explore. I finished my final read-through on the 7th Star Rose book & am working on doing my checks on it…but the interest in #1-6 on Amazon only lasted a few days.

I'm reading a digital version from Humble Bundle, but this paperback listing has almost the exact same page length as the PDF file.

I can't pinpoint why, but, to me, the art in this second volume doesn't look as good as in the first one, even while I'm not sure the style's much different. I can't tell if it's the same artist or what--there are more illustrators listed on this volume. Maybe one tried to copy what the previous artist had done alone? No matter--I like the Shadowman character a lot, so the art won't necessarily matter that much.

So far I've read the first story with Batman and the fourth with D. A. Steve Malone, a character I hadn't heard of (or at least remember having heard of). Something interesting: there's actually a short story in here too, "Mystery With Music." I like that title, and when I first saw it, I thought maybe the story had originally come with music lollll. I'm going to blame that I didn't sleep enough last night.

I can’t remember if some of the things mentioned in this about Star Trek’s past actually happened in the initial version of the ST universe, so reading the first story in this what-if book has been a bit confusing to me--and sometimes I have to read slower than I'd like. But, the story's well thought out, and I’ve been able to follow most of what’s going on in its present.

I'm almost done with this nifty book and will probably post my review about it tomorrow. Been too busy today doing various things, and I probably wouldn't be able to collect the Elsewhen notes I'd made in a Word file into a coherent Goodreads review.
