Collect moments, not stuff

This was written by a native of Midland who no longer lives here. These poems are so perfect at describing not only the landscape and feel of the city, but how it feels growing up if you don't fit the mold. This could be anywhere USA but it's where I live. I read about this in our local paper and wanted to support it. The reward is mine though, these are truly evocative & from the heart. Taking my time with this one

🛑 STOP! I'm still "reading" the audiobook and if I can keep another person from wasting their Audible credit to get this I have to. Narration - fine, great, way to go. Dialogue and voicing characters 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼- esp. a whiny voice which every other character seems to have. I want to drive nails into my head.

How do women not die of rage aneurysm's every single day

I’m never going to finish it. She talks like a junior high girl. Maybe worse. The plot is great but I’ll eat staples if I have to read main characters voice any longer. I’m certain the movie was better.

JC had me at the intro. He made me laugh plus I get recipes at the beginning of every chapter.

Hassan is the only reason staying the course. Way too much math, theory and whining about all the Katherine's and his likely next love interest is flat.

I've only read Chapter 4 so far but it's everything you need to know about talking to kids and people in general. I probably need to read it weekly.

We've lost this book somewhere in the house. It was slow and detailed getting into but I think we are at the jumping point for it to get more interesting. In the meantime we started Fish In A Tree which came recommended. It's sad so far because the main character changes schools often, can't read and the other 6th grade girls are little b's but the tide is about to turn. I can infer it :)
