Some words and concepts seem repetitive but hooked enough to continue.

Very well written. Rue's death particularly hit me. I love how I imagine the actors as I read. Gives an extra dimension and a face to their names.

Surprisingly detailed history over the games and well developed characters. I think the movie lines up well so far with the authors words.

I like that others exist in the book. So many romance novels don't have a colorful cast.

Love how he has to secretly put an ugly charm on her just to focus...

“Fearful again? That must stop. You can learn nothing of the world if fear controls all you do.” True words. Also I'm entertained by the lack of awareness of her 'talents.' This beginning is reading more like a fairytale.

Although this book is a single, right in the beginning, I feel like I've missed a chunk history which very distracting.
