I’ve found the authors writing style infuriating right up till the end of this chapter (7). The short sharp sentences made a lot of sense in a fight scene, the test of the book it feels unnecessary. I wish the author would use more commas instead of full stops every 4-5 words, but I guess it’s his way of adding to the characters personality. I personally hate it, but it makes sense in some situations I guess.

This book is trying really hard to make me feel bad for Michael. Whether he “did it” or not hes a scumbag 🫶🏻

Before I read this I saw so many people saying there was no plot to the book but it’s fantastic. I now completely disagree (to the no plot part - it’s is definitely fantastic). There is absolutely a plot, it’s just slow and incredibly detailed.
Absolutely loved it, although for some reason the use of “save for” bothered me, so I was glad when the author stopped using it as much as in the start of the book.
