Can we get to orka already? There wasn’t enough time w varg when I did care abt him and now I don’t. And Elvar is just a chore to get through after they land in the city especially when her crew is so forgettable I keep mixing up there names

characters are making really dumb decisions

the prologue was very very long but it was good so I'll forgive it
the duel timeline is interesting because I actually think Locke's past is much more interesting than what's going on now

the dialogue can be a bit overboard tbh and outside of the flashbacks isn't that good

a few things:

- why are breasts mentioned so much?
- why is everyone so young? like why not age up the characters it doesn't make much sense
- realisticish portrayal of spies is good and probably one of the best first chapters I've ever read
