Most flat and uninteresting. They really could have done something to feed us into the world of podcasts but no.

Wow I read so much today only to find I have only moved the percentage done needle only a bit. I am just glad the boy Azaro didn’t get lost again and that he is safe with his parents and community again. I would have been annoyed to go through another lost phase.

It is picking up. For me as long as we are not focusing on that father that is violent and unlikeable I find myself content exploring the boy’s world and the influence of his spirit on his environment.

I have completed Katherine’s first chapter now, and it ends on a shock. So the shock seems out of place for the dead life that this book kinda is. It seems to become a mystery thriller element of writing all of a sudden, when this book is supposed to be or has a literary feel. This book is slow to read and unexciting. It makes me feel existential and it does not offer a nuanced reflection about people’s lives.

Absolutely love this book. I have just crossed the middle so I am just starting a new chapter which is not clear what it is talking about or maybe the theme has already been addressed and having to read it feels exhaustive, so I have put the book down for now

Well it is easy to read which is good. I just think I have this whole take figured out already: that it becomes a sad or some kind of down story about the main character as she becomes a maid and then turns into a muse figure for the painting of her employer who is the famous artist. The fact this is based on real events also kind makes this not leap with imagination in a kind of way if you get me. It’s frozen.

What glory!! This has been so refreshing. It just made me so much further aware of how progressive, wholesome, and grounded society and entertainment forms and their consumption trends would be if we had not adopted the internet in such excess as well as social media. These are just lovely bites of something delicious, ephemeral.
