Okay technically I was already here but I didn’t have enough space to yap. So…im warming up to Mathew now who would’ve guessed. He was bitchy in the beginning but I see where he was coming from. I think he does care for Olivia he just doesn’t wanna lose someone else again. He’s acting way nicer now so points for that. I’m lowkirkgenuintl scared he’s gonna die but..oh well.

OKAY I was gonna continue to chapter 4 but I wanna say my thoughts on the other parts first CAUSE THAG WAS CRAZY. So from what I understand Grace saw death but one of death’s shadows(?) helped her and then she got closer to him, they ended up running away together, he dies she goes crazy yaddayadda. So im assuming death sent that letter to Olivia and he wants her so he can be whole again?ion know…

I actually read this a while ago but I didn’t have goodreads at the time and I was in a bit of a reading slump…so…

I’m slowlyyyy warming up to Matthew but he’s still pissing me off. I know the drawings in the book are connected to Grace’s journal which is neat I like that a lot and I like how the author occasionally sprinkles in lines from the journa I think that’s sick. Anyway everyone in this family is secretive as fuck and I am very invested okay that is all goodbye

The cousin is a bitch I don’t like him, for now at least. I know he has a reason for acting like this towards Olivia BUT like I still don’t like him. That might change over the course of the book though so who knows. Aside from that, I really really like Olivia and the way her muteness is portrayed🥹🥹I really feel for her she jsuy wants a family. Also she’s probably on the ace spectrum…

I reallllyyyyy like the overall vibe of this book so far and the way this author writes so I’m keeping my hopes up. Also the plot seems pretty interesting and I like the mc🤤🤤🤤
