On Chapter 3, and more settled into the narrative style.

Still waiting to feel truly invested in the characters or their story, frankly (which is rarely a problem for me to be honest…), but I am SUCH a sucker for Descent into the Underworld tropes; I’m still having a blast with the Hell lore alone, at least!

I’m still on the first chapter, and I’m not entirely sure the style is gelling right for me, but I’m gonna keep goin’! On paper, this should really be my jam…

Listening to the audiobook while I knit! 🧶

Slow going, just taking things a chapter at a time for now! Having seen literally every film and TV version of the series first is a novel experience for me— I’m usually steadfast “read the books first,” but this is a rare reversal.

At least it means I know how to pronounce all the proper nouns. 😏
