i’ve been reading a lot of contemporary romance and dark romance for a while now and i think it’s finally time for me to go back to my roots, aka YA romantasy

i lowkey think i’m getting too old for dark romance books because every time i pick one up i’m always soooo bored and icked out. the main leads that are so popular on booktok just don’t do it for me, like at all. the only thing i can think to myself while reading dark romance is “wow, thirteen year old me would eat this shit UP”
