i read the other 2 books in 3-4 days but i think this one may take me longer. i don’t know maybe ive just been wrapped up in the hawthornes so much i need a break 🤷‍♀️ also im just not liking emily and seeing Grayson breaking and stuff is NOT fun. also i feel tiny bit irritated cause we know ave and jamie are dating but i feel like we’re not really seeing it if that makes sense. anyway thats all for now

parker being in a pink scarf was enough for me but NAKED ! boy you couldn’t even pay me to do that. what a king for that though you know owning it even though he was dying inside. i love kenzie and parker’s banter cause if you know me i LIVE for banter in books. i’m enjoying this so far as expected from alexandra’s books !!!

parker’s clark kent hockey type comic strip is lowkey reflecting on his insecurities and self doubt. he has so much talent yet all he thinks he’s good at is hockey so that’s all he focuses on, like how in the comic strip clark kent is literally superman yet uses his powers for hockey - not using their full potential ? maybe a comic about growth which leads parker to open up ?

i really don’t know how to feel about Eve cause can she stop using the fact that she knows she has some sort of affect on Grayson to get something it’s annoying me, that boy is broken enough as is. Nash and Ave are so unexpected yet exactly what i needed they are such a cute older protected brother , little sister duo. i love them

why did Ave think in her inner monologue that the last time she saw Gray : ‘Grayson , broken. Me, beside him’ i’m so confused 😔 what am i missing ? what happened ?

She picked Jameson and i cannot be more happier. Jennifer does love her twists huh, making me think it was Gray she was picking when it wasn’t. like i said i LIVE for Gray and Aves growth but it just wasn’t there by the end of it so i was a bit frustrated when i thought Ave had chose him and i started tearing up cause i thought about Jamie and Ave but NO Ave and Jamie live to see another book lmao i’m so happy

HOLY SHIT SHE DIDNT CHOOSE GRAY!!! I love Gray and Ave and i think them ending up together would be great. i do LOVE jamie and his growth over the first 2 books and i think it would be amazing for Ave and Jamie to give it a chance. i am beyond happy right now

i am crying again. i knew Ave would choose Gray and i always knew this since i opened the first book. but through out this book , me knowing that she would choose Gray became really sad. i love Gray and Ave but i feel so bad for my baby Jamie, he’s changed so much for her

i feel so bad for Ave oh my gosh. my heart is broken. i love that Toby said he had 2 daughters and then he hugged her and kissed her on the forehead. i am forever undone by these twists and turns.

i have a feeling that the fact that Gray is the reason Ave was so willing to go with Thea is how Ave is gonna choose Gray but i might be wrong. i would feel really bad for Jamie my baby 🥹.
