Pg 120: This is about where it picks up. I wasn't sure about this one at the start. Not much horizontal ("this is what's happening"), LOTS of vertical ("here's how I feel about what's happening and what I think about LIFE"). The switches between horizontal and vertical still feel jarring. Also, the traditional "high school class warfare" thing doesn't do much for me.

I've decided to try and read my Goodreads to-read list, starting at the beginning. Apparently this was the FIRST BOOK I put on my to-read list, or at least the first one I never got to. 10 years! So, I'm buying what I need to from small bookstores and getting started. If you know a small bookstore in the U.S. that does shipping and deserves saving, hit me up!

Alright, how many pages into Dune did ya'll get before it was like, "This is where it got good" or "This is where I knew enough to give up"?

Because I'm about a hundo in, and I don't know if I give a damn.

A third of the way through and it's one of the most gorgeous things I've ever read. Get it.
