After the concert, they kept in touch and developed an unlabeled romantic relationship. He is 18, and she is 14. Nancy knows that it is wrong, yet she doesn't stop it. Things are going well so far, but after a date, she goes from lively to depressed.

Nancy was at a concert whenever things went wrong. In the midst of an asthma attack, a boy becomes her white knight. They stay in contact after the concert and see each other frequently. But they have to keep their relationship secret. She is 14 and he is 18. Nancy knows it's wrong, but she doesn't stop it.

The main character, Yozo, is apathetic and seemingly unaware of human life. He feels devoid of anything remotely human. He masks himself as an "eccentric clown" to fit in with humans because he doesn't understand the point or concept of human life.
