Made me laugh.

The scenes of chapter 5 reminded me of a Villanelle kill, which was both delicious and unnerving.

I find it interesting how this misandrist protagonist adores her dad more than her mother. And has her lack of grandfather got something to do with this?

I can see the imagery running through my mind like a film.

Speechless.

A good chapter, with rich imagery. But I feel confused how this character is instantly murderous rather than simply confident and headstrong. I require a deeper explanation in the next chapters.

The relatability of this book as a uni student is too good to be true, and I’m intrigued by the darkness that accompanies this.

Made me laugh, feel confused, be overcome with suspicion and worry that Reva is being promoted in the Twin Towers, and most of all made me question what on earth im reading.

‘’No man is worth being paid for.’’

This book reminds me of the bell jar. And I love how the imagery flows from one comforting yet dark image to the next. It makes me not want to stop reading.

This book is really interesting to read and has your attention on every single word. I especially love how it is dotted with humour throughout when things can get technical or confusing, which makes it highly accessible and fun.

I’m finding the chapter on the history of accent to be much more enjoyable than I anticipated. I saw a history of accent, and felt reluctant to read on as I felt it would be boring. Instead it has been highly interesting and pleasurable to read about.
