I wonder when this book will get good.

The female protagonist in this book is the type of woman in books that will be driven to do something, consequences be damned, with absolutely no help or taking any suggestions from people who know more/better. Then when the consequences, predicable consequences, arrive, she beats herself up for being singularly minded and not thinking of others. It’s annoying.

I can’t wait to be finished with this. It’s a find book but idk enough about NYC to understand much besides the baseball parts.

Everyone in this book is a liar.

This book was boring and then it became good.

It’s a little over the top and I’d prefer a different reader.

Again. I’m learning about something nefarious going on during the Great Depression that was not covered in any history class I’ve ever been in.

Eh. It’s better than the mini series. That was just awful with added DEI characteristics. Unnecessary and pandering.
