Listening to this as I build new bookshelves - I heard about it on MFM podcast and so far am really enjoying it and finding it fascinating 🌭

Norah and I are reading this together and I’m enjoying it much more than I anticipated! It’s silly and fun and punny.

I really like her books - this one is starting to get a little long without something positive happening, but that’s probably on purpose to show the heartache the little family is going through - still looking forward to the second half, her books are well researched and I always learn more about a moment in time I wasn’t as knowledgeable about. Part of why I like her historic novels.

I was hoping this would be a new series to dive head first into - similar to “The Eden’s” by Devney Perry - to get lost in like I did with The Eden’s.
I may have had too high expectations but it’s still an enjoyable read / listen

You know when you’re SO excited for a book to be released you’re almost afraid to start it because… WHAT IF IT DOESNT LIVE UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS?? 😂📚
So far it’s been great - maybe not as much as Book People - but it still lives up to EHs other books. 👍

😢 Honestly I want to cry every time I listen to this book because raising kids is hard!

But BUT BUT the book doesn’t cause tears, it’s my own mom-feelings - however I’m optimistic the book will give me hope 🤞

I’m listening to the audiobook and first used it to fall asleep to but it held my attention enough I didn’t want to sleep 🤣 moving to my daytime listening - I generally do Fiction and tend to pick up NonFiction more sparingly and it takes me longer to get through them - maybe it’s my way of taking my time to absorb the info better? Either way I love Lisa Congdon and am liking this book a lot.

I’m not sure how I feel about the ending…

I tend to turn to Sophie Kinsella books whenever I need a good audiobook to listen to as I’m working around the house, etc. plus there’s so many I can always fine one available with no wait on my library’s Libby app.
