Caderousse died out of his own greed and stupidity. Fernand is getting his justice as well with Haydee being the witness of his betrayal to her father, Ali Tebin. Just glad that everything is coming tgt now and it’s such a long book

Have to put in a break while I traveled in Japan and picked it up on the plane. There was a very peculiar interlude of Franz and Albert and then slowly revealed the count. It is still a little bit unclear to me why he becomes the count and why he suddenly becomes so pale and cold instead of fit and healthy. Yayy Dante has met Faria, learnt a ton as well as the treasure in Monte Cristo. So happy he finally escaped if not I might go insane. Faria is such a good man! He knew so much and yet didn’t think of doing any escape plan involving hurting ppl. Now Dante is saved by smuggle ship and they decided to go to Monte Cristo to trade which gives him a perf opportunity to stop by!

Currently at where Dante is being put into prison. Omg Villefort, the young executor, really has no shame after already burning the letter to his father and promising Dante a release. Is that not enough for him? Cannot he really not sympathize with Dante who has such parallel life with him? Sigh
