I’m struggling with this book because it gives Bridgerton vibes but with a black family the plot is great however the way it’s written is to slow I believe I’m on chapter 15 & we are still dealing with the plan by now there would be whimsy but nope. Unfortunately there’s also no audible version so we read on

So far I love this book it. I can image myself as Janelle and other characters as my friends. I also like that she’s a curvy girl it reminds me old can’t get enough my convo for the curvy girl love story is the male leads and how their story always starts off messy.

This book went from dry to picking up at chapter 10 from 🌶️🌶️🌶️ to 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ to feeding people to alligators 🐊 imma see it through but I’m so confused as to what the plot is like I know why he did it but like maybe 🤔 didn’t comprehend the backstory on him

Listened to the sample on Libby and how I have 3 books in rotation it’s got my attention so I checked out the digital copy to read until the audio is available to try immersive reading my twin recommended I try it

Okay it’s started to pick up a bit I was about to DNF it, but now it has my attention don’t really understand the NFL drug dealer connection but imma see it through.

Get out a notebook because the way there are so many characters and some have 3 names I had or stop and draw a diagram.

I’m on chapter 4 & I’m not feeling it like I thought I would; I love a good smut book but this is a bit much for me. They use the F BOMB a lot.

The time jumps in the psychical book confused me and threw off my interest. So I’ve opted for the audiobook. Right now it’s still a hard follow but I want to see it through.

So I’ve watched the short series when it came out on peacock but a lot was left out so I wanted to read to connect the dots since I love The Best Man universe. So far it’s making sense & adding more context

I like part 2 way more than the first one I’m invested & want things to work out for who I want tell 🤭✨📚

I can’t quite immerse myself into this series it had my attention at first and now I think I’ve confused the characters a bit.

It’s a slow burn so far not in the best way. The brothers popping up on her has been the excitement thus far.

So this is the first book I’m reading of JQ I started the series from Netflix. So it’s a bit funny that Marina was the cousin of the Bridgerton’s in the book but not the show. I need a podcast to explain why certain changes were made.
