this is my first book by steinbeck. so far i love his style and pacing of the book. im annotating along the way and planning on giving it to my best friend as a bday gift.

i’m really interested to see where this book goes and how the new lot takes shape. especially with him being so concerned about sadie and her resemblance to dorris dunning. and the Jimla stuff. i wish i was better at predicting plots.

the chapter about the dunnings had my jaw dropped

so far i’m enjoying this book. i trying to get out of my reading slump and so far ive been locked in. a little slow moving but the details are really good and the foundation of the story is intriguing.
