Cultural references are interesting but repetitive at parts. However, this doesn’t hugely dismay me and I’m intrigued to see if something is done with this further down the line. Very literary style, which I particularly enjoy, but I understand this may not be for everyone.

Interesting so far! Some outdated terms and ideas but nothing too unsettling for a modern classic, and so far (let’s hope I don’t eat my words) not too bad on that front. However, the agency given to the main character for an old(er) novel is extremely captivating, and it does subvert gendered expectations.

Discovering that this is a “at home” book, external distractions do not serve it well.

Gradually becoming more gripping as the novel starts to make more sense! Still many characters being introduced but things are starting to flatten out.

Still a little hard to follow in places but getting into it a bit more.

Little dense/confusing timeline-wise but gripping otherwise!
