Hans Espiritu > Recent Status Updates

So I think my prediction is, Art was kidnapped by alien royalty, Alex had just recently saved her, and now they’re hiding out in the cabin.

Got the water turned on in the cabin. Met Ruth, real sassy, sounds so fun.

Nate made breakfast for everyone. Artemis Darth Vader learns what bacon is. There’s some common ground being broken. Someone’s at the door

Jesus Christ Art is so annoying

Dare I name my daughter Artemis Darth Vader Espiritu?

Nate finds there’s weird people in the cabin he inherited after his parents’ murder-suicide

Nate is not a happy guy

Kind of an epilogue. Hannah has memories, leads the Malicarn, a whole event of what happened to the island and residents afterwards

Hannah is collecting everyone’s memories at once, a lot from JD Souard, but bits and pieces of Buck, Glenn, Jules and Lilly can be made out

The sacrifice play. The Iron Man moment

The collapse of Jules’ mind. Really sad. Legit brainrot, not knowing what’s real and what hes trying to implement

Bold ending for Buck

Everything is literally coming together. This chapter I just read, each character had a paragraph of their perspective. It’s so crazy and very well written

Now we’re all caught up in exactly where we left off with Glenn, Hannah and Lilly. Fuck Roger, he’s just trying to play James Bond

Glenn and Lilly reunite at a convention. We learn about Lilly’s escape and her time from there

Now we’re all caught up. The dragon at the beginning was a Chinese fighter pilot. Glenn feels shame of remaining on set as the only Real, but cares a lot for Hannah as a natural born character

Time jump to Roger in England, addicted to spy stuff, looked up the production on the island, accidentally bumped into Lilly there

We found out who the Necromancer was. Crazy twist. And now we know where this part of the story takes place in the overall timeline, which is so conceptually interesting

Haven’t read in a while. There’s a dead murderer implementation that Jules wants to extract memories to create villains - like people who would pledge to the Necromancer, who I guess is the Thanos of this world. Glenn and Lilly still aren’t talking. She’s all alone in her lab, very overstimulated, trying to process reading her father’s obituary

They premiered the movie, watches Kip die, Lilly’s dad has a brain disease and her mom is just being off and weird. I don’t understand her relationship with Glenn. She should leave him

The POV of Frank Douglas was very interesting

This chapter made me so mad. One of the R&D heads rushed a new feature out to implement characters, and a trial run made an extra go insane because the memories came from a man who killed his wife. Like I just think about my job. Why rush new things out the door to please stakeholders when it’s not completely vetted?

Glenn and Lilly have this weird working relationship going on. More behind the scenes stuff. Kreek is a Real actor, not an actor that had their brain wiped to be a character. This answered my questions on what happens if characters fall in love but have other relationships in thr real world, and have babies, and eventually a food shortage?

Saw some behind the scenes of how the world works and how they implement characters with AI. The nerdy scientist girl, and the actor playing the wizard, are falling in love

Wow this book is awesome. They basically have advanced technology where they turned an island into a real world of the fictional story, so fans can act alongside the actors and characters, which explains the screens in the Necromancer’s place

Ok, so I guess this fantasy world is fake, like it’s a bubble, and the big Necromancer is just someone with a lot of cameras or mirrors that watches this fantasy world

Hannah and Buck finally crossed paths. She’s heading somewhere safe from the mobs. Gregorian the wizard is moving too on an errand. Apparently someone was trying to sneak into the queen’s tower, but they haven’t caught the intruder yet

JD died. The attorney convinced his son to finish writing the series.

Kreek is a wizard, and maybe I missed a part where the queen looks like a goblin, or is a goblin? Idk. Kreek kicked buck off the guild for letting the dragon rider run loose.

I imagine Kreek as a mean Kronk from emperor’s new groove, and Buck as Hiccup from How to Train your Dragon.

Book jumped ahead to the 1980s, where the fictional story became popular, and everyone is trying to franchise it. The story itself, a dragon rider crashed into the city, and the guild is trying to hide him away. I like the pacing of this book and the flipping around
