Introduced to Dr Breuer who seems to be a confident man and who thinks highly of himself but has a deep and concerning obsession with a patient of his called Bertha, he himself calls this obsession ‘Carnal’
Also introduced to Lou Salome who tells Dr Breuer about Nietzsches despair in the hopes of getting him treated
