The detail and honesty Fidel speaks with in this is so impressive. He manages to retell the glory of the victory of the revolution without glamorizing it, he's perfectly open about the difficulties they faced and the various mistakes made. Credit must also go to Ignacio Ramonet, who does not hide from asking tough and thought provoking questions.

Incredibly excited to read this. A man who was unbelievably devoted to the unity and resilience of his country against US Imperialist ambitions, a Revolutionary in every sense of the word.

Some very helpful theory to go alongside my dissertation interviews, reassuring to know you're doing the right thing. The chapter on memory was particularly interesting in highlighting the complex nature of memory that as historians, we aren't trained to fully grasp. A good base of knowledge to acquire.
