I am obsessed with this book. B. A. Paris is an absolute mastermind… I’ve been trying to work out where this story is going, but the way she’s set things up is so well done that the outcome will make sense regardless of which way it goes.

The small, mundane details adding into the overall sense of forgetfulness and confusion is so well done, as a reader you really feel like you’re in Cass’s shoes! GENUIS.

I borrowed this book during my weekend away at an air bnb. I needed something to read while enjoying some quiet hot tub moments… and this book has been brilliant so far.

I’ve already decided that I’ll be buying a copy now that I’m home so I can keep reading… because I HAVE to know what happens next. The premise is so interesting and the writing is really gripping. I’m excited to read more!

I’m on chapter 4 I believe (I’m listening to the audiobook) and absolutely loving this story so far. I was looking for a summer camp horror and the ones I’d tried weren’t giving the atmosphere I was looking for…

But from the very beginning, this one absolutely has. I’m so excited to keep listening and learn more!

I’m on chapter 6 now and struggling somewhat. I still love the premise, but was really hoping to get more into the actual slasher side of things by now.

Listening to this story rather than reading it also isn’t helping I don’t think - the sexual descriptions and relationship side of things is a little awkward to listen to, as someone who doesn’t enjoy chick-lit or romance books at all. But that’s just me!

I decided to listen to the audiobook version of this on Spotify, rather than getting the paperback, for the pettiest reason… the UK cover is just so ugly (in my opinion). All the American and EU covers are stunning, but ours? Yuck.

Anyway, it’s currently 4am and I’m finding both the narrator and writing style engaging and easy to digest. Not sure on Coop. I’m on chapter 2 and am interested to learn more…

Oh boy… this book is already everything I’d hoped it would be. Stephen King’s writing style is so smooth and easy to digest (even if he does go on some tangents…) and as a fan of horror who loved the film adaptation of this story, reading this is long overdue.

I’m writing this at exactly 3:13am. Is that a smart time to be reading ‘IT’? No. But oh well, here goes!

Initially thoughts? Interesting.

I met the amazing Lucy Rose at a signing in 2025 and am only just now getting round to reading this highly recommended read.

I was a little surprised to see how short the ‘chapters’ are… but I guess that’s the point, they don’t seem to serve as chapters but more as moments in time. I get the impression there will be a time skip soon… but so far, it’s very interesting.

Having enjoyed reading The Midnight Library, I knew picking this up would be a safe read.

I’m 30 pages in and I will admit when he catches a glimpse of his ghostly self on his honeymoon in the first few pages, I got excited that there might be a horror element.

That doesn’t appear to be the case, however, Matt Haig’s writing style is as easy to read, engaging and existential as ever.
