The use of astrology to show how science has become an ideology that does not seriously engage with alternate ways if knowing was good. Because my first thought was "this is a serious book why is he talking about something stupid like that." Which of course was the wider point. This inability to take serious other traditions is not only detrimental to the pursuit of truth, but also an impediment to a free society.

Part 2 is much easier to read. It moves away from the really technical philosophy of science in part one and into more concrete social problems. Like how a democratic society should manage the tension between differing worldviews. Feyerabend makes a very convincing case for how rationalism has lost its liberatory character and become dogmatic. Even going so far as to become an obstacle to freedom.
