An exciting concept that could have been, and is advertised as, a fantastic work of dystopian thriller fiction, but really reads more like a weird literary fiction "slice of life" with a shot of infidelity. Incessantly boring, and I keep trying to get through it with the question of, "what is the point?"
According to the reviews, there isn't one. Will be dropping this and moving on to Fahrenheit 451.

Enjoying this read so far (love that quote as well), but the author's personal views on American politics are starting to pollute the writing and distract from the main idea.
