Oh, never mind, I think it is indeed Jay's VA in this Jay chapter as well. It just sounded a little Milo-esque in this couple of lines.

Wait, are they really using Jay's VA to play Seb in the Milo chapters, and Milo's VA to play Seb in the Jay chapters? I mean, I guess I get why, and the voices aren't so extremely different that it through me out, but... I don't know, I feel like I'd prefer consistency and a little bit of consistent vocal distinction between the characters than this solution to avoid confusion about who's talking?

Dear authors,
Can y'all please just agree to ban "You're going to be the death of me" from your books from now on, unless perhaps it's meant much more literally?

It was never nearly as bad for me, but I had similar shit in junior high, with the idea of someone liking me being used as the butt of a joke. And we won't even get 8nto the completely different self-esteem issues I have 30+ years later.

I honestly didn't care much for part 2 during my first, eyeball read of Neurovance, finding it unbelievably corny, but truly, Evans and Rae bring Milo and Jay's chemistry to life in a way that makes me believe it. The audiobook is totally the wya to go with this book, IMO. *SO* glad it was released, and that Evans and Rae put their A game into their acting on it.

Listening to the words The Forgotten says to Sebastian during my second time through the book is... Hard. This is 100% a book that needs to be listened to/read at least twice.

My God, The Forgotten's voice is too fucking perfect. (I mean, I wish they had added more distortion, but apart form that.) when he asks 'Do you want that kiss in stole from you earlier?', I just... Felt all the emotions.

This is why I fucking audiobook. I may not have audio aphantasia, but my brain still doesn't create tone of voice like when The Forgotten is talking privately with Milo.

Immediate thoughts: Don't fuck with the drug use trigger warnings on this one. (Not applicable to me, but FYI.) I asked for a book that would fill that 'great writing and emotional intensity' of GP/L62, two people recommended this book, and they were not fucking wrong. So much of the book was super Intense, and I was fucking wrecked at the end of ch. 28. Also, while it had relatively little spice, it HIT (esp audio).

Chapter 27 just happened. Fucking hell. I can't remember the last time something hit this hard. If I didn't know this was an HEA, I'd be so unbelievably torn up right now, but even so my chest is so tight...

Holy fucking shit. People weren't kidding about this book being emotionally intense. Like... My heart is absolutely wrenching right now, and I'm so scared for Jake's sobriety (and, ya know, emotional everything).

Okay, so like... Is there any rule against having unofficial sponsors? Apart from the whole 'should two recovering addicts be in a relationship?' thing, I don't see why two people can't support each other even if they're not your actual sponsor. Unless the main issue is who your first call would be?

But I'm lucky enough to be rather ignorant when it comes to addiction recovery.

Honestly, I kind of get tired of these "asexual spectrum" characters in the genre, because instead of feeling like representation of demisexuality or some other kind of greysexuality, it ends up just feeling like romanticizing the idea of only being sexually attracted to this one person. Unsurprisingly, Annabeth Albert is one of the few authors I think got this right, in Out of Uniform #5: Squared Away.
