I for the life of me can’t remember when I read a Study in Scarlet, but I know the second half of that book was a total drag to get through. I’m starting with this short story collection now, then I’ll go back and reread the first book afterwards. I liked this first short story. I like the writing style more than I did the first time around too. It’s interesting that it the mystery wasn’t a violent crime.
