I'm still trying to figure out what the Strangeness is. From what I figured out though, I was wrong...? I guess it isn't an alternate dimension. Maybe The Strangeness is what they use to describe some kind of fungus/mushroom. We can see it taking over Elena Lopez's body, and the way other characters speak about it, it makes more sense.
So far, I'm enjoying this book. It's really starting to pick up.

Currently trying to get a grip of the world.... So far my idea for what "the Strangeness" is is that it's an alternate reality. It's a location and an entity all at once.. it has an agenda of its own and does what benefits it as it's taking over the dead body.

I'm getting Life is Strange vibes but that might just be the location being in Oregon.
