Did not finish. Didnt like the main charactar Chains & a major plot theme is unrealistic.

I lost interest & shelved it. Did not like the characer of Chains. The premise of buying & selling thieves somehow doesnt work for me. I got about a third into it

Good but opinionated. This book is a reread for me. I like the fact that the past 30 years(since orig written.) Current events still fit the authors premise. As I too have learned & researched central banks on my own, I now see more opinion & less facts but thats ok as long as reader knows.

I want to go to Istanbul. And simply wander its streets. The book makes it seem intriguing. From a native Istanbullers (sp?) perspective. Im having trouble following tbe plot, but as I get closer to the end I am figuring it out more.

It seems interesting until you put it down. And bthere's nothing to draw you back in, except for the authors name.

loved the book. this book reminds me of childhood memories, of church picnics & summer adventures. the authors childhood was similar to mine. after all we both grew up in rural massachusetts. in addition she also explains as an aside, all the Duffy types of Protestantism. all of this is in addition to the history of the serenity prayer! well worth the read.
