- low self esteem does not stem from failures due to ADD impairments but it has the same sources of causation: stress in the parenting environment, and disrupted attunement/attachment.
- low self esteem is excerbated (not caused) by poor achievement.
- sense of self is an illusion
- self esteem comes from acceptance
- motivation comes from within
