Honestly shocked how much I’ve enjoyed it, the reviews made me skeptical.

I am baffled how this ended up on a Instagram reel about romantasy books since this is squarely in the YA genre. I would have enjoyed this in third grade…. as a thirty something, not so much. It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize this would not ever turn into a romance novel, and that I had, apparently, been duped.

Getting real annoyed at how everyone keeps telling the main character she’s thinking too much of herself. She’s literally a child back off.

Loving it, gets into the story quickly and right away there’s lots of twists and turns. Enjoying the science-y aspect as well.

“And it reminded me that Ife wasn’t the only one. That there is good in this world. There is something left to fight for. I might die tomorrow, but it won’t be because I’ve given up. And I want to thank you for that.”

Can’t put it down.

Suppose I’m not done yet so it’s potentially premature to say, this is extremely predictable. If you’ve read or watched anything about 50s housewives…. I guess there’s not that much new to say. Waiting for the big twist to come, I’m not even sure if there is one.
