I bought this book because I've heard good things about R.F. Kuang and her books. After I read the reviews here, I wasn't sure if I made the right choice. Now that I'm 200+ pages into this book I have my own thoughts about it. So let's see:
First, I like this book. It certainly won't be my favourite but it's something that I'll definitely re-read in the future. Second, sometimes I feel like I'm the same as Alice.

So no one is a good person here? Okay, Mr. Sheldon, so you really do what you are doing!

Just finished the first chapter. It really is a page turner

I'm new to classics and the slow burning story is so unfamiliar to me, but I don't mind it. Does it test my nerves? Yes, but it's just as refreshing as Lord Henry's character is. He is a character that so unique that I would finish this book just for him.

I'm absolutely in love. That's all I need to say

My first ever R.F. Kuang book. Read the first chapter of the book and let me tell you, I'm sold. Already in love with this book and how Kuang writes and uses words.
