I already knew who Legend was bc spoilers, but OOFFFF that reveal to Tella was scream-worthy. Their chemistry is just insaaaane, I'm still on the fence on whether I like them more than Scarlett and Julian, but I've still got one book to go so I guess I shall see about thatttt. But daaamn, this book in itself was even better than Caraval. 10/10

I am loooving Tella as a character, I do not understand why she gets so much hate from the community at all.
And her and Dante's chemistry ooooo-

Ugh why did Zade 🍇 her at the start-ish of book 1 because now that he's respecting her boundaries as she navigates her trauma is literally so opposite of what he was in book 1. It's making me confused on how to feel about him as a character, bc I don't like him for what he did, but he's now being respectful of Addie and it's so frustrating that he could've just been written as morally black instead.

Right so, I wasn't sure about going ahead and continuing this series to book 2 after finishing book 1 and being thoroughly disappointed at how uninteresting the majority of the book was, but omg did part 1 of THIS book have me absolutely hooked. It's the way it took the two mc's to be apart for me to get interested in this book.. The writing and the character development of the fmc so far is much better here too.

God what the actual hell am I reading... I don't even know if I wanna read the 2nd book just bc this one will end on a cliffhanger, this is lowkey painful.

What a fucking incredible read oh my god, I was completely engulfed in this world, every second of it I just couldn't wait to see what would happen next.
Loved all the mystery, the romance, and the plot twists.
I'm so glad Scarlett and Julian got their happy ending, and hopefully Tella will get one of her own as I see the epilogue is heading to Legendary.
10/10, Five stars, incredible, LOVE.

I CALLED ITTTT I KNEW JULIAN WAS LEGEND'S BROTHER.
But omg, the PAINNN of him calling her Scarlett for the first time and not Crimson, oof.
It's all good though because they are still both absolutely enamoured with each other holy moly, I flipping love them.
I'm so glad his feelings for her were all real, and he truly did get caught up with her, and went completely off script.

God damn, this book is so fucking good, especially as an older sister with one younger sister. Scar and Tella's relationship is just so heartwarming. Tella really planned out a whole Caraval story to save her and her sister from their awful father, and trusted that Scar loved her enough to wish her back to life. What a story man. I'm in absolute awe.
Now the question is, was everything with Julian real or scripted..
